Cucullin
The giant who flattened a thunderbolt, in Carleton’s tale.
His strength lay in the middle finger of his right hand. Carleton borrowed the name of the Ulster hero Cú Chulainn for him, but the two have nothing else in common. “Some say he was Irish, and some say he was Scotch.”
