He had long been at war with Conchobar, and came to Emain Macha to make his peace. He was given the task of killing the sons of Uisliu, and met Naoise on the green of Emain with a spear. A year later Conchobar handed Deirdre over to him, and it was on the road to Macha, riding behind him in the chariot, that she died.
