As the host set out from Cruachan she appeared to Medb, standing on the shaft of a chariot and weaving a border, with three pupils in each eye. In the Book of Leinster she comes from the síd of Cruachan, a poet of Connacht who had learned prophecy in Alba. However often Medb asked her how she saw the host, she saw it red; and she foretold the deeds of Cú Chulainn.
