After Lugh himself, the tale says, they were the best champions at Tara. Brian, the eldest, leads them and carries the druid’s wand. For killing Cian they paid the heaviest éiric ever asked, gathered from the garden of Hisberna to an island under the sea, and died of wounds won on the last part of it. Joyce notes that the older references name them Brian, Iuchar and Iucharba; his own English calls the younger two Ur and Urcar.
