The forest where Fionn was reared in secret.

In the forest here the druid Bodhmall and the warrior woman Liath Luachra hid the infant Fionn from the sons of Morna, in a hunting-booth among the trees. Crossing the mountain with them years later, he ran down two bucks from a herd of wild deer. The range rises between Laois and Offaly; its highest point, Arderin, is 527 metres.
