A druid and a warrior woman: Meyer’s translation calls her “Bodbmall the druidess”. With Liath Luachra she took the infant Fionn from his mother Muirne and reared him in secret in the forest of Sliabh Bladhma, while the sons of Morna lay in wait for him. When he was old enough to hunt for them, the two women sent him away: the sons of Morna, they told him, were watching to kill him.
